Sekyra Group sees success in the prestigious ThePrime Awards
I am delighted to share another success story for the Smíchov City project: the SM3 residential block, which is part of this project, won the Best Residential Development 2024 category of the prestigious ThePrime Awards. I greatly appreciate this award, which I again see as recognition of the long-term work of our entire team, said Luděk Sekyra, chairman of the Board of Directors of Sekyra Group. This year’s ThePrime Awards ceremony took place at a gala evening held at Žofín Palace. The winners of the nine categories were selected by a jury of more than 20 renowned experts from the real estate market and architecture.
The main architect of the award-winning SM3 block, which comprises 204 apartments and was completed last autumn, was the leading German architectural firm haas cook zemmrich STUDIO2050. The block is divided into nine buildings. Each has its own entrance from the street and from the inner courtyard, and the individual buildings are characterised by varying materials and architectural details. Smíchov City, as well as our other Rohan City and Žižkov City projects, are fundamentally changing the face of Prague in the 21st century. These areas were originally residential. With the advent of the industrial revolution, factories and logistics sites began springing up there. After more than 200 years, we are returning these locations to their original residential function. We strive to create a sense of home, i.e. truly functional districts with apartments, shops, modern administrative campuses, schools and parks.
