ČEZ has chosen the Smíchov City project by Sekyra Group as the location for its new headquarters. Construction has already begun. ČEZ will purchase the new headquarters, which will consist of three separate buildings with a total area of 44,000 m², from Sekyra Group upon completion in 2027

Rohan City will be a philosophy-inspired district. Streets and parks will be named after important thinkers
The streets and parks in the new Rohan City district being built in Prague 8 on Rohan Island will be named after famous philosophers. They will thus commemorate Czech philosophers such as Jan Sokol, Radim Palouš, Erazim Kohák, Ladislav Hejdánek and J. L. Fischer, as well as world-renowned philosophers like Ludwig Wittgenstein, John Stuart Mill, Immanuel Kant, Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Emmanuel Levinas and John Rawls.

Sekyra Group wins another award
I am delighted that Sekyra Group’s Smíchov City project has received another award, said Luděk Sekyra, chairman of the Board of Directors of Sekyra Group. The SM3 residential block, part of the first phase of our project, which connects to the Na Knížecí bus station, was awarded the Architects’ Prize in the Real Estate Project of the Year 2024 competition by a panel of experts.

Banka Creditas purchases a new office building project in Prague 8
Banka Creditas has purchased a new office building project on Rohanské nábřeží in Prague 8 - Karlín from the Sekyra Group development company. The building, which will accommodate almost two thousand people and have a leasable area of over 17,000 m2, will be completed within three years. It will then become the new headquarters of the bank and other companies in the CREDITAS group.

Smíchov City wins prestigious award from the Association for Urbanism and Development Planning
The Association for Urban Planning and Development Planning of the Czech Republic has awarded Smíchov City a prestigious prize for its urban study. The project was also nominated for Urban Project of the Year 2024. Smíchov City, which represents the largest urbanisation project in central Prague since the creation of Vinohrady, succeeded against 14 other competing urban planning projects from across the Czech Republic. Among them was another Sekyra Group project – Rohan City – which was also nominated for Urban Project of the Year 2024.

Construction of the Smíchov City South phase begins, dominated by the Česká spořitelna headquarters
The construction of Smíchov City, the largest urban development project in the modern history of Prague, is entering its second, pivotal phase. Smíchov City South, as this phase is called, will become home to the new Česká spořitelna headquarters, four office buildings and a hotel. This phase will also include other infrastructure projects alongside the modernisation of the railway station and the construction of a transport terminal.
