Rohan City will be a philosophy-inspired district. Streets and parks will be named after important thinkers
The streets and parks in the new Rohan City district being built in Prague 8 on Rohan Island will be named after famous philosophers. They will thus commemorate Czech philosophers such as Jan Sokol, Radim Palouš, Erazim Kohák, Ladislav Hejdánek and J. L. Fischer, as well as world-renowned philosophers like Ludwig Wittgenstein, John Stuart Mill, Immanuel Kant, Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Emmanuel Levinas and John Rawls.

Sekyra Group wins another award
I am delighted that Sekyra Group’s Smíchov City project has received another award, said Luděk Sekyra, chairman of the Board of Directors of Sekyra Group. The SM3 residential block, part of the first phase of our project, which connects to the Na Knížecí bus station, was awarded the Architects’ Prize in the Real Estate Project of the Year 2024 competition by a panel of experts.

Shell construction of first buildings in Smíchov City complete
One and a half years after the start of building work, the shell construction of buildings SM1 and SM2 is now complete. The topping-off ceremony, which, according to tradition, symbolizes a significant milestone in the building process, was held at the highest point of the buildings.

Rohan City is growing upward
Construction works on the first buildings of the Rohan City project are in full swing and everything is going according to plan. On the way around Rohan City, you can already notice the first three floors of the future houses of Riviera Karlin. Together with Diamanty Karlín, they will offer 220 flats. The planned completion of the construction of the first stage of the project is in 2023.

Smíchov City project wins at prestigious HOF Awards 2021
The Sekyra Group has come out top at the HOF Awards 2021 for Central and Southeastern Europe, which were held in Prague on 23 September 2021. We received the award for the SM1 and SM2 residential and office buildings in the Smíchov City project, which were rated as the best development project in Central and Southeastern Europe.

Earthworks and foundation work in Rohan City well underway
The transformation of the unused brownfield site in Karlín into a large modern district full of life and green areas has begun. The earthworks and foundation works for the first phase of Rohan City are currently well underway. It will house two office buildings and two apartment buildings, as well as all the necessary infrastructure.

The construction of the Rohan City project officially began with the laying of the foundation stone. The Sekyra Group will build 380,000 m² of mostly residential, but also administrative and retail, premises on a currently unused plot of land.
