Banka Creditas purchases a new office building project in Prague 8
Banka Creditas has purchased a new office building project on Rohanské nábřeží in Prague 8 - Karlín from the Sekyra Group development company. The building, which will accommodate almost two thousand people and have a leasable area of over 17,000 m2, will be completed within three years. It will then become the new headquarters of the bank and other companies in the CREDITAS group.
“The CREDITAS group is expanding dynamically with new companies joining, so it was logical for us to look for additional, sufficiently large and representative premises for our employees that will meet the latest trends. The project is an excellent combination of the group’s financial strength and the professional experience of its growing real estate division. Construction will be overseen by CREDITAS Real Estate Management,” said Kamil Rataj, member of the Board of Directors of Banka Creditas responsible for asset management. The total investment cost of the project is expected to exceed two billion Czech crowns.
The A2 building will be part of the new Rohan City district, consisting of administrative and residential buildings near the Invalidovna metro station, where 11,000 people are expected to live and work in the future. With the revitalisation of more than 20 hectares of brownfield land, it continues to establish itself as an important commercial location, and will include the second-largest leisure zone in Prague after Stromovka Park. The new CREDITAS headquarters will offer more than 17,000 m2 of leasable space, of which over 500 m2 will be restaurants and almost 15,000 m2 offices. Great transport links will be ensured by sufficient parking capacity for 180 cars and 30 bicycles in addition to its proximity to metro, tram and cycle routes. It will reflect the latest trends in office buildings.
“We are delighted that such an important institution is coming to the emerging Rohan City district of Prague, further enhancing the prestige of this multifunctional location, which is already home to a number of companies not only in the financial sector, but in architecture, design and development. The project for CREDITAS offers cutting-edge design from the team of architect Jakub Cigler and a strong emphasis on environmentally-friendly technologies, which will ensure, among other things, the economical operation of the entire building,” Leoš Anderle, CEO of Sekyra Group, added.
The building on Rohanské nábřeží joins other administrative buildings already owned by the bank. These include the S9 building on Sokolovská street, the group’s existing headquarters on Pobřežní street (both in Karlín, near the Florenc metro station) and the building on Třída Svobody street in Olomouc. Part of this capacity is used directly by the bank and companies from the CREDITAS group, and part is leased to external entities.
