Sekyra Foundation

The Sekyra Foundation was founded by Luděk Sekyra to support moral universalism, liberal values and civil society. It also focuses on the development of critical and philosophical thinking and supporting academic institutions and education projects, including the publication of works by major thinkers. An additional mission of the Foundation is to strive for intergenerational dialogue in the context of responsibility for the future of the planet.

The Foundation works with Harvard University, Oxford University and the Centre for Philosophy, Ethics and Religion at Charles University. Together with the New York Times it supports the Athens Democracy Forum, the Václav Havel Library, the Czech Christian Academy, the Freedom Festival, the Foyer integration platform in the Brussels district of Molenbeek, and students at universities abroad. The Foundation is a general partner of the Czech Center of the International PEN Club.
